just some updates

I've been a bit absent from this blog overall, and I do have a few posts I want to make, but today I'm just going to use this as a dumping ground to tell you guys what I've been up to since the new year started, stuff that's been happening in my life, and things I'm working on.

  • I was recently told I have an ulcer, which sucks, but I'm on medication and hopefully it's getting better.
  • I'm in the middle of being diagnosed with Celiac disease. No more bread for me.
  • I wrote about a Dublin zine for the current issue of Broken Pencil.
  • I was writing feminist book reviews for Women's History Month over at Ideas At The House.
  • I'm working on a feminist project webzine called Ugly Prude. I'm looking for cool, smart, strong and left-leaning writers, so if you think that's you and want to contribute/help out/work with me, feel free to email me at
  • I apparently gave "feminism a bad name" at an MRA meeting in February. I was on Sun News. I can't find the clip, but it's obviously not a flattering portrayal of me. I don't care.
  • Kennedy and I run our own beauty blog, Lazy Beauty Tips, and we're buying a domain soon to make it into a Real Website. Actually, we've been gaining a fair amount of readers, so that feels nice.
  • I'm doing a decent job following my New Year's resolutions.
  • I got an alien tattoo.
  • I booked my trip to New York in May with Erica.
  • This is in the future I guess, but I wrote something for the underwear issue of Worn Journal, and their party is coming up. You should go.
  • My zine press (well, co-mine), House Hippo Press, is coming out with a second issue of I Like Girls. The theme of this one is Coming Out.
  • There's some other stuff (I hope), but it's all in the future.
I think that's it for now. TTYL, stay radical.

    1. this isn't really related to my post, but thank you for your opinion and poor grammar.
